Memorial Day Weekend
It's been a really nice Memorial Weekend despite all the rain. For the most part we have been at home goofing off. On Saturday Carl helped me upgrade my computer's video card so that I can play some really kick ass games. Sunday it was our turn to host the church breakfast hour with our friends the Davis family. Today Carl and I goofed on the computers all morning and then Carl went out and bought some shelves for my craft area. I will have a picture up soon. It looks so great and now I have some great space to do my crafting stuff.
Carl gave me a good idea to work on my writing. He liked the Power of Love title for my last entry and has challenged me to write entries that have to do with the titles of songs. I need to think on this a little bit before I start. I have some ideas, but I need to line up a couple before I commit to myself to do it. I've always said that I have a memory for almost every song I know. I guess it's time to test that.
Carl and I are watching a great show on the History channel about Star Wars. It's about the inspiration Lucas had from different events in history. It's been really interesting... the comparisons to great works of literature, great episodes in world history, our struggle with technology, etc. It's called "Star Wars the Legacy Revealed." Fans of SW should check it out for future airings. We've really enjoyed it and we haven't seen all the movies.
Speaking of movies, I'm getting excited for the new Harry Potter coming out in July and I'm getting anxious for the next book. I had hoped to do a lot of reading this summer, but it's hard for me to read and do everything else I need to do when the baby is awake. When she's asleep I do the things that need to be done that I can't get to when she's awake! It's a vicious circle. :)
Well, speaking of the baby, I need to go check on her and see if I can feed her one more time before Carl and I head to bed. The later she goes to bed, the longer we can sleep in the morning! I hope everyone had a great long weekend.
