Calling all mommies.... HELP!!!
Something needs to change and I can't figure out what it is. For the most part, things are pretty normal with Juju, but for the past three nights she wakes up at 10:30 (after going to bed at 9:00) at a full on scream. I have looked for something, perhaps, biting her, her diaper is fine, she's not hungry, she doesn't want to be rocked. I walk around with her to calm her down, but as soon as I make a move to sit on the couch or lay on the bed the scream returns. If I've had enough sleep, the screaming doesn't bother me, but last night was the third night in a row she's done this and I was beyond frustrated. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have Carl. And he has to get up and work the next day :(
We take turns sitting with her to calm her down and by 2:00 am she's back asleep. I don't have any idea what is going on because the rest of the day she's fine. I do need to get her up soon because it's almost 10:00 am and she hasn't made a peep since she finally fell asleep last night. I even tried keeping her up longer last night so that she wouldn't wake up at 10:30, but that didn't work.
Woop... her ears must be ringing while I talk about her because she's made a peep and I bet she's starving. ANY help, suggestions, whatever will be GREATLY appreciated.

Have you tried whiskey in the bottle? Out like a light! Smashxxx PS - And that's just me, not the kid, hehehehe.

How old is she again? She might be going through a growth spurt and that can either make babies hungry or wake up. A schedule always worked for my kids. You won't like my suggestion, but maybe she needs to cry for a little while to learn to go back to sleep. Emily had a bout of waking up like Julie is. I finally tried letting her cry it out a bit and it only took a couple times and she was sleeping through again. I think she trained me to run right in and get her and carry her around all night! LOL As soon as she realized it was time to sleep, not be carried by Mom, she slept again. Good luck little Mama!

LB used to wake up every hour or so every single night. Nothing I did seemed to work, then the doctor suggested that I try a nightlight or something to distract him. He told me that we wake up a lot during the night but we don't fully wake up because we're used to our surroundings, but for little ones it can be frightening and it then takes a while for them to calm down.
What I decided to try was putting on the TV on to the local 24 hour children's programing station with the sound turned off.
LB woke up for the first week or so and he would watch the images after I'd checked on him and he'd fall asleep again after about 20 minutes or so.
We left the TV on like that for a few years, he now sleeps in the total dark with the bedroom door closed even to prevent light from coming in because he hates it now. I don't know if it's the same thing with Juju, but it might be worth trying. It didn't stop the crying at night thing right away, but after a while it did make it less of a problem.
