Headache-y

After a really long weekend, the baby finally slept last night.  Of course, I couldn't sleep.  We finally saw Harry Potter last night and loved it.  Friends watched the baby for us and apparently the whole time we were at the movie, the baby was screaming.  She didn't sleep the whole time she was with them.  She'd only had a short nap that afternoon... maybe about an hour.  We saw the movie at 7:00 and picked her up around 9:30.  She didn't go to sleep until 11:00.  My friends now say they understand why I'm on the edge of a nervous breakdown and have offered to take Julia any time I need a break.

I knew I was riding the edge of bad news this weekend because Sunday morning when church rolled around, I was a wreck.  Everything was making me cry.  My head hurt like a sombiatch.  The baby acted up in church.  It was not a fun time.  But I eventually talked myself out of it and sucked it up to go with the family to the movie.

The headache is back today and i'm seriously beginning to think that it's allergies and not really a tension headache.  Even Juju in all her gruntiness sounds congested.  I think she's having both allergy and teething issues.  I just hate to "drug" her with the benedryl too much.  She hasn't had any since Friday night.  I need to call the doctor's office and ask them what to do.  It's getting to be a little too much for me and my brain.  I joked about this baby being a little demon.  I guess you not only have to be careful what you wish for but careful what you joke about as well.  LOL

I got all A's in my summer classes.  THREE of them!  You have no idea how happy I am about that.  I can finally join the Social Work honor society!  I've never been in any kind of honor societies in my life.  I was not smart in high school.  I take that back... I never learned how to study, I never really learned how to apply myself.  My parents didn't really help when it came to homework and such.  I guess the last 20 years have taught me life lessons on how to apply myself because honestly, I hardly studied at all for these biology classes this summer.  I guess I'm a lot smarter than I think I am.  That's enough to make my headache fade just a little.  :)

The Turkish Rondo (or Rondo a la Turk) is a Mozart composition upon which the Dave Brubeck effort is kind of based. Blue Rondo a la Turk were an 80's band, sort of latin-y feel - cool to dance to, their biggest hit was Me and Mr Sanchez. Its worth a listen, particularly if you're having a party. Enjoy! s x
