Well I'm about halfway through the new Harry Potter book. I didn't read it at all yesterday because I read about half the book in one day. LOL I don't want to be done with it so quickly. I ended up playing my online game almost all day yesterday. The baby was so good. She's getting good at playing and entertaining herself. She likes to know that someone is in the room with her. She doesn't like being alone in a room very long. That's fine because it's not often that happens. She doesn't like it when I make bottles or other things like that, but that's usually only for a few minutes.
Aubrey's birthday is Saturday. I have to get out today to order her cake. We're not doing a theme this year and I'm sure the party will be small. The boys she invited can't come so it will probably turn into a girly party with pooltime karoke. Last year was a lot of fun, hopefully this year will be too.
Okay... I am thoroughly grossed out. The dog just showed up at the back door so proud with a dead bird in his mouth. I thought only cats did that. Blech!!! He was so proud of himself wagging his tail and "grinning". That's just gross. Remind me not to let him lick the baby's toes.
We're supposed to have a dinner party tomorrow night but we have had to cancel. The house is in no shape for visitors and I feel overwhelmed trying to do everything around here. That is no commentary on Carl. I have never known how my mother, or any woman with more than one child, is capable of taking care of said children and still have a clean house. Aubrey's room makes me frustrated. But it's her room, ya know? If she wants to live like a pig then so be it. I cleaned her room until she was old enough to start helping out. The biggest problem in there is the clutter. One bad thing she's picked up from Carl and I. I have gotten better about clutter, but Aubrey needs a lot of work. She's holding on to a lot of things that are junk and some are just sentimental reminders of her dad. I don't say anything about those. I don't want her to pack them away, I just want her to tidy up and that's hard to do when ever empty space is filled with something.
I recently went through my book cases and I'm getting rid of a TON of books. Some of them I never even read, but I don't know if I ever will. They are just gathering dust. I've thought about donating them to the childrens' home or somewhere as a lot of them are books I read when I was younger. Aubrey has no interest in them.
Well, the baby is sleeping so I'm going to use this time to clean up the house a bit.

Ok, so I read the ending first. I knew Catherine was going to want to read it when she came back from her dad's. Then I started the beginning and can't wait for her to finish it so I can see what happens after the broom situation with all the Harry's.
