My summer can begin
I took my last final exam today for summer school. I'm glad it's over and now I have some time to read things that I'm actually interested in... or rather... for entertainment instead of expectation. I can sleep in... well... as long as the baby lets me. Okay... so basically I'm under the baby's command for the rest of the summer, but at least I don't HAVE to go anywhere and write papers and take tests!
The lab final I thought was really easy. It's only 10% of the grade and I got a C on it. Disappointing for an open book test. I guess I was over confident. The lecture final was also easy and I took the optional 4th test that will replace one of my lowest scores. My lowest score is a high C, so I could possibly end up with a very high B or a low A in lecture. That would be nice. I didn't miss one class of either lab or lecture. That means a few extra points for perfect attendance.
The baby is growing like crazy. She's grown 10.5 inches in 6 months. She's about 17 1/2 pounds. She's wearing 12 month clothes and starting to repeat sounds. She has "hey" and "hi" down, but I'm sure she has no idea they mean anything. When you first see her in the morning she smiles and says "hey". Hehe It's really cute. And if you say "hey" back, it will go back and forth 4 or 5 times before she's bored with it.
The 4th was fun. My friend Shelly from school came over. We grilled chicken and veggies for the adults and hotdogs for the kids (Aubrey had a friend over). Then Shelly and I took on the girls in some water volleyball. It was a fun afternoon.
Spritopias came to town as well last week. It was fun meeting him and hanging out for a while. We had burgers and ice cream, walked around the square, chatted for a while and then he was back on the road. Because I had the baby with me we couldn't visit very long. She was pretty tired and I ended up having to take her home. Hopefully we'll have a chance to visit with Sprit another time on his way through Texas. And yes, like a dumbass, I forgot the camera so I don't even have a picture of him. Can you believe that mess?

I can't believe I didn't know where you were! BOO! Why didn't we have cameras? Where were our minds? Must catch up on reading!
