Boredom and Mania
This class is so boring. It's Human Behavior in the Social Environment. I had this class a couple semesters ago, but this is part two of the courses (even though we read all these chapters in part one). It's a complete waste of time if you ask me. It's useless exercises and off topic conversations. The professor and a very whiney, droning voice and we barely talk about anything useful or practical. Although today we had a guest speaker who was supposed to teach the class originally. It was the reason I took this class in the first place. The speaker is head of the Social Work department and is an awesome teacher and lecturer. She made the second half of the class a little more interesting.
This week is crazy busy, but I'm feeling a little more prepared and into the swing of things. Last night was a service unit meeting for Girl Scouts. I'm the co-leader/treasurer and that was the first meeting I'd been to in about a year! LOL Tonight is our local meeting of NASW (National Association of Social Workers). I'd really like to go, but Aubrey has to stay last at school and Carl won't be home until about a half hour before the meeting ends. It's being held at one of my and Carl's favorite places. Dan's Silverleaf is a cool local joint that holds live music events and has a great bar. There's a band tonight, free food and drink and such, but it is a school night and I have a long day tomorrow.
Tomorrow at school it's my turn to facilitate a group discussion and it's being graded. I need to make sure that I'm prepared mentally. I'm not too worried about being prepared in other ways. I'm not bad at the whole group dynamic thing. It's just making sure I know the topic and that I have my props ready. Then I have a Girl Scout meeting later that night. At our last meeting we voted in officers to run meetings, so we'll see how the girls fall into their roles and if they're able to work together and keep things from getting too crazy. I think the older gilrs are ready, but I'm not so sure about the younger ones.
The baby is growing like a little chunky weed. She eats constantly and is very active. She babbles a lot and likes to make raspberries. She's also imitating other noises like kissing noises (more like smacking without the pucker) and blather noises. She's really not trying to crawl yet but flips freely from her back to her tummy and vice versa. She gets up on her elbows but not on her knees yet. She's alert and just a sweet little joy to have around. I'm kind of glad she's not crawling yet because when she gets going there will be no stopping her and no rest for me!
Well, it's a few hours before I have to run car pool so I'm going to try and get some reading and prep work done for school tomorrow.

Raspberries! PFFFFT!
Oh, and I hated classes like that. Get to the point and stick to it!
