Patio Redeux

This weekend while C is jaunting about with youth from church at a Youth Quake event, I will be here at home working on a surprise for him.  Last weekend we were at Lowe's looking at patio furniture.  We decided on some black wrought iron items (because the dog can't chew them like he did our last patio set).  For Christmas C gave me a gift card so that I might get a freezer or a vacuum cleaner, but I have decided that I want to makeover the patio.  My budget is limited, but I still have a good amount to spend.  The table was only $60 and the chairs were $25 each.  I will also be getting a new umbrella as our last one broke in a storm.  I would also like to get some plant stands, a large reed mat to go under the table and chairs, and a storage chest to put our other chairs in that can take damage from the weather.   I will also be getting some chair cushions for the wrough iron chairs.  I hope to have all this done before C and A come home from the youth event.  I've called a friend about helping me with his truck as C is taking my vehicle to the youth event.   This means I'm stuck driving his car for the weekend.  No biggie.

Speaking of the youth event, I got a call last night from the youth pastor.  She wants MEEEEE to do the kid's sermon on Sunday.  ACK!!!  I'm terrified.  I suppose it's not THAT difficult, but I just feel weird about it.  C told me I should have just said no, but I couldn't do that.  Especially after the conference I just went to about younger members not being interested in church leadership and I said "that's not true."  ughhhh  LOL  I'm sure it will be fine.  Hopefully they give me the verse before Sunday so I can cheat and use the internet to find something appropriate to say about it.

Well, baby girl is up much to early for my plans, so once again I am foiled!  :)

Whenever I give a sermon its a disaster because I can't help but point out that the other sermon givers are idiots. Hope you did better.
